Is the bounding box type interchangeable? If I change the bounding
type during runtime, does it change dynamically?

Say if I have a bounding sphere, will the min and max values be
valid? If I have a bounding box, will the radius value be valid?

Yes. You can take a bounding volume computed either way, and treat
it either way.

Oh okay.

Can I dynamically change the type during runtime? Say if the two
bounding volumes are spheres and I want to change one of them to a
bounding box so I can test if a box and a sphere collides, is this
possible?

Only by computing a new one.
