Advice of best practice - multi line text grid

Hi all,

I¹m looking to design a simple table editor to display and edit multi line
text displayed within a grid. I can see two possible ways of proceeding:

1. design a custom control based on a Canvas storing the text in an array
2. use a control array of edit fields.

What are the pros and cons of both methods?

Thanks
Simon

I'd do

3. Use a canvas, along with a single EditField that you move into
position whenever the user clicks to edit a particular cell. (As an
example, this is basically how editable listboxes work under the
hood.)

Best,
- Joe

Joe,
Thanks for the advice, I don¹t think that I would ever have come
across the method you describe. I¹ll give it a go.
Best wishes
Simon
