garbage in databaseCursor ?

Greetings all

anyone experienced garbage values returned by databaseCursor in mySQLConnect
plugin, with RB 3.5 on Windows 98 SE ?

problem:
we get junk values for varchar, random values in numeric columns

checked:
DOS command line tool & also Mac client shows correct values

any experiences on this ?

If mySQLConnect author is also on this list, please reply, I will also send
a private email to him

we are using unregistered copy for a pilot project & will go for purchasing
it if the pilot project is approved

regards, ram

Make sure that you using the latest version of MongoToDCON if you use
this to debug under windows. This same thing happened to me (with
another db plugin) and all I was doing was using an old version of
the MongoToDCON and passing in strings > 255.

This corrupted the apps memory space and only affected databaseCursor (!)

Long shot I know but there you go....
