getOpenFolderItem

When this command is encountered, what determines what the initial (as it
were "default") folder that is presented to the user?

Does the developer have a way of forcing this command to start in a
particular folder?

A combination of the OS and the app. There is an option for the application
to go wherever it wants (so REALbasic -may- take advantage of this, I don't
think it does now because...), or the OS will go to the last place that the
application was at.

Not using GetOpenFolderItem(). If you used the NavDialog from Alfred Van
Hoek, I think you can do this. If not, ask him and he'll update it. He's a
cool guy.

Use the OpenDialog (or SaveAsDialog) class.
