RBDB: Primary Key Violation? (ALTER TABLE)

Sorry if this is an SQL problem rather than RBDB problem...
But sometimes the RBDB SQL differs from "standard"...

I have a database and have created it new and am trying to add new
fields to it.

Creating it goes okay:

create table songlibrary (pkid integer)

Trying to add a field is not working:

ALTER TABLE songlibrary ADD blues integer

I receive a "primary key violation" error. (Error 2005)

What am I doing wrong here? I've checked the RB docs, Seth's DB docs,
and several online SQL resources... but I cannot figure it out...

Thanks in advance,
Paul K

And you run that particular statement using SQLExecute ?

I've done this without problems
