RB Crashes After Attempt to Edit Value in Variables Window
Date: 30.05.02 05:11 (Wed, 29 May 2002 22:11:12 -0600)
From: Steve Schacht
Summary: App Crashes After Attempt to Edit Value in Variables Window
Product: REALbasic
ProductVersion: 4.5a11
Component: Application
Severity: Crash
CC: <email address removed>
Reproduce: Using 4.5a11, run the attached project. Click the button named
"Untitled". When execution stops at the breakpoint (which I preset but
you'll have to set yourself under 4.0.2), go to the Variables window and
click once on the value of local variable "d" so as to make the value
editable. Now click outside the field (so that it loses focus). The crash
results. You don't have to actually change the value.
Reproducible: Always
OSVersion: 10.1.4
CPUType: PowerPC
SubmittedOn: 5-29-2002 at 9:39 PM
REALbugsVersion: 1.4.2
Description: RB crashes after attempting to edit local variable in
"Variables" window while debugging. The error message is a failed assertion
"string.cpp:136". Crash happens in 4.0.2 as well, but no error message is
given. It just unexpectedly quits.
