Hello,

I've just drawn an app that need to redraw stuff on screen on a regular
basis.

My app works fine, but if I only stop to touch my keyboard for more than a
few seconds, the whole thing slows down. I fiddle with the mouse a bit, and
the redraw speed increases...

I've had the same problems with threads in another app.

My guess is that some process from another app or the finder uses those
processing cycle whenever my interface isn't active or something.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about ...and hopefully how to fix this.

re-thanks again.

Louis

I believe there's a declare that can reset the idle time. I don't remember
what it is, though. It might help here, I'm not sure.

Sounds like you've got processor cycling on. Turn it off in your
PowerBook or Energy Saver control panel.

Nope, the system is slowing the processor down to conserve power.
