Has any one been able to figure out the secret to making a "Menu
'extra'" in OS X a la monitors control panel and sound control panel?

I found some stuff about it somewhere long ago but never bothered to get
into it because it was Cocoa only.

Well that stinks. :) I have some great plans and using the menu bar is
a perfect solution. Maybe I'll do some more research this weekend.
