understood, but even if you gotta eat balony for awhile, i can't
recommend enough the o'reilly/matt neurburg's book, especially if you're
new to the whole object-oriented scene, like i was. rb and that book was
the perfect intro for me... helped me wrap my head around the concepts rapidly.

nobody paid me for that plug... hell, i've been losing money shorting
myself of work playing around with my development lately...

OTOH, I learned REALbasic all by myself, and don't own any of the
various third-party books. Between the tutorials, the documentation
and this list, I've never had any desire for one. The big downside
to the books is that they get outdated very quickly.
