Very Odd Classic Bug
Date: 30.01.05 06:15 (Sat, 29 Jan 2005 21:15:09 -0800)
From: Phil M
In the Classic build (also running the Carbon under OS 9), my Window
frame changes from the normal gray to almost a *turquoise*.

In my project, I have a picture I am using to double-buffer into the
canvas. The oddest thing is that if I change the color depth from 16
(which I was using) to 32, this window frame color issue disappears.

I tried reproducing this issue in a new project, but I have not been
able to do so yet. This actually makes me more worried!

It is almost as if the Window memory structure is corrupted and just so
happens that changing my picture depth causes the corruption to occur
in a less visual manner.

Has anyone seen something similar?

Specs: RB 5.5.4 (OS X IDE); 8 MB allocated (also tried 20 MB); OS X
10.3.7, OS 9.2.2, Classic 9.2.2; Powerbook G4 500mhz, 512 MB

I have seen it also, but quite some time ago - I think RB 4.5 or 5.0.

I don't remember the details, but I think it was memory related. Have
you tried with VM turned off?

I've seen something similar, where the purply-blue parts of the interface
become turquoise (most noticeable in the progress bar coloration). Never
reproduced it with enough consistency to blame RB for it.
