Anyone had problems running Win32 RB apps with QuickTime 7.0.2a63
(the current public beta for Windows)?

I'm getting crashes really early. I'm remote debugging from OS X, and
the Windows build is crashing before (or possibly while) it
establishes communication with the OS X box -- that's even before the
app object's events start firing.

This happens in RB 5.5.4-built apps (I'm not running 2005 yet), both
with remote debugging and with standalone compiled apps.

At this point, I'm inclined to blame QuickTime, but I'm curious if
anyone's seeing similar behavior before I spend more time tracking it
down.

QuickTime 7 does cause a crashes with the RB IDE (that I've been able to
reproduce), and it's possible it also causes crashes with RB-made
applications as well.

But you should still file a report or sign on to an existing one.

Thanks!

I've had reports from customers of a similar crash with an RB app
compiled with 4.5.3.
Any update on whether QuickTime folks have solved this?

Here's what Eric reported on this last week...

Hope this helps,
