Great Job on RB2005 Candidate 2!

From: Joe Monia
Hello,

Some of you may remember my rants about how horribly slow RB2005
Candidate One was, but I am VERY impressed and pleased by the
improvement in candidate two. No longer does typing lag or windows
take thirty seconds to appear (on my dual 2.0) and my application
compiled right off the bat. Working in the app is not as
instantaneous as 5.5.5 is, but pretty close!

The compiled application is faster. Tthough there are some visual
glitches I am sure they will be fixed come candidate three. (I.e.
another window opens and closes and canvases on a pagepanel and
regular window disappear)

Thanks for the hard work, RB. It looks like I will have a mactel
version of my app afterall.

Joe

Thanks... glad to hear.

BTW... we call it REALbasic 2005 Release 2... "candidate" is a term we
use for something that may or may not be generally released.

Maybe he likes to call it a candidate, since RB 2005 Release 1 could
hardly be called a release from his point of view :-)

I checked out the change logs and had a quick check and it's a job
well done, that has to be said.

Best regards
