No, you should not need anything else. I've never seen this error message, I
get none on my machine. Can someone at REAL help me out here? What in Office
would generate this kind of error?

Thanks for the replies and testing it.

G'Day Thomas,

I disabled all my plugins and everything works ok. I mainly use the
Einhugur plugins. When I add back (only) the TypeLib plugin the error
pops up again.

As to why the IDE is reporting an error in Office and not TypeLib????

Thank you Ben for taking the time to do this. I do not use plugins, so this
makes a bit more sense now. Another user who sees this error message also
uses the TypeLib plugin. Can you point me to a web site where the method
name calls are listed for this plugin?

Anyone know if this is the likely culprit for this type of error message,
method name collisions that is?

Never mind ...

Found the plugin, it's free, testing it out now, see the same error message,
not sure why Office is getting the blame, but no matter. Sorry for the
noise!

Greetings,

An updated version. I can now compile with the TypeLib plugin with no
errors. I added the ability to draw rectangles. You can specify a dotted
line for these rectangles also, same dotted pattern as in draw line calls.
For now, there is no control over how the corners are drawn, I will add this
along with fill rectangle calls in the next release. Drawing circles and
arcs will follow that.

Once these basic commands are done, I plan on a bit of a re-design so the
user will have more control over drawing parameters, such as rotations, via
state changes. As it is now, I'm painting myself in a bit of a corner trying
to stay with similar calls as Rb uses, suggestions welcome. :-)

I've added a new version of my module that now allows you to control some of
the parameters of the CG drawing environment on your Mac, like drop shadows
and rotations of objects. I've also added basic docs, an html version. I've
stayed with the plan of Extending the Rb graphics class. So you now can set
CG drawing states. As an example, this fills an oval at 80% transparency and
adds a shadow (gray for now).

g.CGSetFillColor rgb(255,0,0)
g.CGSetFillAlpha 0.80
g.CGSetShadowOffset 4, -4
g.CGSetShadowBlur 0.80
g.CGFillOval 50,100,50,50

Thanks for trying it out, the module is free, use at your own risk and
encrypted (for now). I'll be adding more features to this.

I have been learning a bit of CoreGraphics using declares on the Mac and
have decided to release a module. The module extends the graphics class of
Rb, Mac only. I decided to try and give this extends design approach versus
classes as it seems to me a more natural way to extend the drawing choices
in Rb.

I would like to get some feedback on this at this early stage of
development. It's a free download but is encrypted. Use it at your own risk.
It should work on all version of OS X.

This version allows you to draw lines that have an alpha parameter. Also a
call that gives you dotted lines. Download comes with a brief demo on how to
use the module. More about it here,

http://www.maui.net/~mauitom/CoreGraphics.html

Thank you.

G'Day Thomas,

I get an error when trying to compile:
Parameters are not compatible with this function.
File: Office
Component: ThomasCoreGraphics
Item: DrawLine_CG

Is there anything I need to have installed? I am using RB2006r3 and I
have set this to PEF and Mach-O with the same result.

It works fine on my 10.3.9 and 10.4.7 systems. There's nothing special
on my systems other than all of Apple's current updates.
