Is there a way to change where the debug application is located. It
currently defaults to the location of the code. The "problem" is
that I use subversion and it's all mucked up by the executables and
such that I'm not saving in the repository. By "mucked up" I mean
that I use svnX and it displays all of those garbage files.

I found out how to change where the "unsaved executables" are saved
but nothing for the saved executables.

I don't use svnX, but svn itself has an easy way to handle this. Use
"svn propedit svn:ignore ." (or replace "." with the directory where
these things appear), and then type the names (possibly with wildcards)
that you want svn to ignore. See:

That's correct.

You could also make an IDE script which cleans up any unwanted junk
(like leftover debug builds), and then launches svnX, and get in the
habit of using this to switch from RB to svnX.

In svnX simply don't add & commit those file to the repository

You can then remove them some time later

Not sure how to tell it to ignore them

I do the same thing but it's more "zen" to have the commits clear the
screen. The left-overs cause untold amounts of Dukkha (suffering). ;-)

Until I moved to version control it was no big deal but now I find it
annoying that I can't determine where the executable will be created
(unless, of course it's unsaved - which is odd).

svnX honors the ~/.subversion/config information. Add (or modify)
the line
global-ignores = *.app

or add a svn:ignore property to the directory where the application
is placed when built.
