I'm not big on finishing projects. Not to say I don't want to, just that
usually it doesn't happen for one reason or another. So, having gotten
this little even this far makes me feel great. The utility is for
creating, and managing, searchable file-system indices. The resulting
index file is stored as XML, enabling people to integrate the data easily
into other apps. Or somesuch. Really, just pretend I'm shouting buzzwords
with the occasional burst of profanity, it'll capture my thoughts better
than anything I actually write. Okay, frequent bursts of profanity.
A small description and screenshots can be found here-
There's a link to download it there, or you can use this-
Right now it's only compiled for Winders. I haven't had a chance recently
to see if symbolic link resolution is fixed in the latest version for
linux, and not having a Mac or the money to go to Pro, well, and so on.
For anyone interested, you can grab the source file here-
Feel free to steal whatever you like from there. Chances are good that the
coding is so laughable it'll only damage you. I warn you now, there's a
lot of unused/not-yet-implemented stuff lying around in there.
If anyone has any comments or criticisms please, by all means, let 'em fly.
