fl and fi (single chars)

From: Markus Winter
Hi,

when I copy text from a pdf file to read it on my iPod then I get a lot of
"fl" and "fi" characters (these are single characters) which need to be
replaced with fl (F and L) and fi (F and i) (two chars) respectively.

How do I do this?

Markus

P.S. I'm just noticing that in changing this email from html to plain text
the 2 char characters change into one char characters - how weird (I'm using
entourage)

Sorry - just found where my problem lies. One of the single char fi was an
fl - that's why it wasn't working (it's past midnight and my eyes are
cross-eyed so I'm having a bit of trouble reading this tiny chars)

Thanks

Markus

And that's why I love OS X's screen magnifier (Ctrl-Scroll)!

These ligatures are single Unicode characters. You can replace them
with their two-character expansions as Joe suggests using ReplaceAll.
