Did I miss something?

There was a minor thread on one of the forums pointed out that
bindings are no longer (if ever) on the deprecated list http://www.realsoftware.com/realbasic/deprecations

However, a quick search in the Users' Guide finds

"REALbasic bindings were deprecated in
REALbasic 2007 Release 5. Object bindings can no longer be created. "

So it seems the deprecated list is in error.

I assume the remnants have been left there because
a) it will break too much code to remove them from the IDE and it is
cheaper to cope with the occasional confused customer
b) new goodies are coming with the DB stuff Geoff showed at Realworld
2008.

I'm doing a lot with bindings in WPF and Cocoa at present and working
on our own binding/database mapping stuff in RB at present so I'm keen
to see them returned to RB!

The "Bindings" this referred too where the old GUI bindings that first
appeared in 5.5 or somewhere abouts.

If you held down 'Command" and "Shift" you could drag a blue line from
one control to another in the form editor, and select how that control
should interact with it's target.

I used to use this all the time to enable certain buttons when a
listbox had a selection. now I have to do it via code...
