Help please: Window dimmed on window.show

Hello,
I have a window which upon closing shows the main window of my app.
The problem is that when the main window shows it is dimmed, it only becomes active when I click on it.
How can I make it active automatically when it is shown?
Thanks.
Lennox

It depend of how you show the window (are you enforcing the opening
with the "show" command? If no, add "MainWindow.show" (with the
correct name) after you open it) and if your are closing the other
window too lately.

If you still have no result, try this:

put a timer on the window (main window) with mode=1 (run only once).
In the code, put this: "self.show". Set the period to, say, 500.

Hope this help

Thanks Arnaud,
That did not work, apparently there is/are other problems... the window is being called elsewhere (I commented out Window.show and the window still shows), so I will have to find the problems.
Thanks again.
Lennox

You have to check for statements involving the window. For instance:

MainWindow.title="A title"

the statement above, even alone, will actually make a new MainWindow
if there is currently none open. So if you have anything that refers
to the main window, it will open the main window.

I suggest you to put breakpoints at every place you find <name of
your main window> (except consecutive lines), and debug your app, so
you will obviously have one breakpoint that pauses the app when the
window unexpectedly shows.
