Automated builds.

Two questions:

I'm trying to setup a machine to do some automated builds. I have the Enterprise edition, and now I'd
like to create some scripts to be able to do some nightly builds of the product and push them to our server.

My second question is about the WE edition. I've not been able to focus on the WE edition for quite some
time and I'd like some information on deployment of an application on a Linux server -- more specifically
Apache2, Ubuntu running on a VPS.

Is there any place I could look for information on such a topic(s)?

Thanks,
Gary

FYI - Cyberduck is a great FTP client that supports SCP and about every
other file transfer type under the sun.

It's free from their site or you can buy it through the mac app store for
$24.00. If you don't buy it from the app store, consider donating a few
dollars (via paypal unfortunately) to help keep a great tool around and
reward it's developers.

I do this and it works (including calling out to execute a svn update of the local code and copying files to their proper places in the apps.

Check the OLR for IDE Script and RBscript. The magic command is DoShellCommand("command", timeout)

I do this. The secret is to double check the built project's permissions and make sure that the config.cfg file is 666, and then make sure the app and cgi file are both executable

I recommend scp to make sure the permissions stick when you copy the files over to your server's cgi-bin directory.

HTH,
