[ANN] MKS Plugin 3.0

MKS Plugin 3.0 adds many new units.

MKS Plugin for Real Studio allows you to construct programs which can handle numbers with units much like doubles and integers are handled. The basic MKS units are Meters, Kilograms, Seconds, Coulombs, Kelvin, Dollars, Angular units, Solid angle units, and Luminosity. Many other units can be used. Integer and fractional powers of units are allowed.

For physicists and engineers, MKS is a well-known abbreviation for Meters-Kilograms-Seconds.

So a calculation using a mixed set of units will be carried out accurately and easily. For example:

dim x, a, t As MKS
a=new MKS("2 m/s^2")
t=new MKS("4 secs")
x=(1/2)*a*t^2
TextFieldx.text=str(x, "ft")

The TextField will show (correctly):
52.49344 ft

Another example:

dim x, x0, v0, a, t As MKS
x0=new MKS("3 ft")
v0=new MKS("50 cm/sec")
a=new MKS("2 m/s^2")
t=new MKS("4 s")
x=x0 + v0*t + (1/2)*a*t^2
TextFieldx.text=str(x)

The TextField will show (correctly):
18.9144 m

which shows the default MKS output if the str function does not specify the output units.

Freeware.

Thanks Bob. Looking forward to playing with this :)
