Hmmm.... I'll bring a few old hard drives back online tonight after
work and see what I can find...
I took a few drives offline after the IDE transition and didn't migrate

There is also a better, more thorough outline of the protocol here:

The only thing I can find out there in relation to hotline is a rough guide to the protocol...

Wow, I thought Hotline Died a long time ago!

Anyhow, there used to be (and I'm talking pre 2000 here) a set of RB classes (hotSocket if I recall) for building hotline clients in REALbasic... A quick Google search fails to find a download, but there are some docs still out there about the protocol...

I'll trawl over my archives... On of the very first projects I did in RB was an extended Hotline capable client called I called Unity (because it melded Hotline, Carracho and some features of it's own) back in 1998... I'll have to see if I still have copies of it anywhere (and if REAL can still even open those files!)....

Hello,
I'm looking for a developer out there with solid knowledge of how to create sockets in REALbasic to create a Hotline Client clone.

Thanks,
Josh
