Hi DE,

you spotted a hole in the documentation here; note that I do not know where to add that (in Picture Class?)

Your best friend is:

Graphics.DrawPicture Picture()

You’d probably better use another Picture Class object to draw it in.

HTH,

Emile

I have an ImageWell that's 42x42 and a picture that's 256x256. I need to
resize the image so that it will fit nicely into the ImageWell. I'm sure
this is possible but I'm not quite sure how.

Can anyone help?

Thank You,

I'm not sure that an image well will do it, but if you can use a
canvass, the drawpicture parameters are pretty easy to use. You just set
the size of the original and the size of the canvass.

Spend some time reading about picture and graphics objects.

Create a picture in memory. Using Picture.Graphics.DrawPicture, scale the image. Then set the image well picture to the new image.

Say pOriginal is your original image.

Dim p as new picture(42,42)

p.graphics.drawPicture(pOriginal,0,0,p.width,p.height,0,0,pOriginal.Width,pOriginal.Height)

MyImageWell.Image = p

It's that simple.
