What is the general basis for making a plugin in REALbasic? I am
experienced with RB but have only come across an interest in plugins
now and would like to know how to go about creating them.

Can Anyone Help?

Ryan,

You download the plugins SDK, and get one or more of the sample
projects compiling in your favorite C++ development environment.
CodeWarrior is generally the easiest, but others can work with some
work and a few caveats, too.

Once you have the samples building, then you read the documentation
and start making your own, often using one of the samples as a
starting point.

Best,
