Sorry, I am new to Plugin development (my second one actually) but I *think*
I made my homework:
I want to use REALRegisterClassExtension, yes I want it because I have to
add two events to all RectControl and Window subclasses. Yes, I have one
method which activates my Plugin and set ups a Mac OS Toolbox callback
Yes, it works great in REALbasic 5.5.5. It works very very good. Happy.
However, there is wired behaviour, for example an incode subclass of
Popupmenu does not call its overwritten Change() event anymore even without
linking my PlugIn. Do not know what else is broken...
Moreover, in REALbasic 2005r4 my events do not show up at all. My Plugin
method auto completes and works but all my events are gone.
Yes, I could do it in REALbasic natively but I have problems using the
AddressOf operator in Mac OS 8 and 9. I am too stupid for this one. So I go
for a Plugin, yes I could go for (the rather new) module methods with
"extends RectControl" but this is far too wired when it comes to events.
Hell, and this only because REALbasic does not support receiving promised
FolderItems (phfs/fssp) natively:
Any ideas? Do Plugin class extensions with events work in 2005r4 at all?
James Milne did similar? Did the Plugin work for you?

I thought REALRegisterClassExtension was deprecated a long time ago.
