[MBS] Win32 Screensaver Application Subclass?
Date: 14.11.06 01:18 (Mon, 13 Nov 2006 16:18:42 -0800)
From: Michael Diehr
I'm finding that REALbasic-made Screensavers (EXE renamed to SCR)
don't work properly in Vista. I've received one suggestion that the
proper way to do a screensaver app is to have your EXE actually be a
certain type of EXE that exports some known entry points, as
described here: http://www.osix.net/modules/article/?idS8

Is it possible, using the plugins SDK, to create an new App subclass
in realbasic which does this? If so, I think a
"WindowsScreensaverAppMBS" as a subclass of Application would be
really handy...

I don't understand that.
If the entry points need to be changed, that's something out of my
scrope. If it is just a special command line parameter like before it is
doable.

The rumor I heard was that you could, using the RB plugin-SDK, define
a subclass of Application and it could export other entry points. I
may have misunderstood, and this may not be possible...

Well I can only place an entry point in the DLL for my plugin, but not
in the RB generated application itself.
