[MBS] WindowsMidiMBS - "Application has encountered a problem" when compiled with RS2012

My application, running on MacOS via the remote debugger on Windows, generates a consistent run-time error in the IDE of "The Application Has Encountered a Problem". I've narrowed it down to one method that queries various MIDI devices by opening WindowsMidiInputMBS and WindowsMidiOutputMBS instances and then sending and receiving sysex messages to/from the associated devices. I haven't been able to track it down to a specific line or lines of code; it behaves differently when executing freely vs stepping/breakpointing. The problem does NOT occur under RS 2011 4.3. I'm using MBS plugin 12.5.

Any advice, other than to just use RS 2011?

Thanks,
Julia

Does it happen with 13.1 plugins?
