Hi,

where does LaunchServicesFindApplicationForInfoMBS look for finding it's data? I'm using the following code

dim theApp as FolderItem = LaunchServicesFindApplicationForInfoMBS("", theBundleIdentifier,"")
if theApp = nil then Return nil

to find out if my app can talk to other apps - namely mail clients. On my main development machine I have all mail clients installed. On my laptop I only have Mail.

When running the above code on the laptop theApp points to Outlook on the main development machine. Why is theApp not nil for Outlook on the laptop but nil for all other mail clients like Entourage, Thunderbird etc?

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Regards

Trixi Willius

The launch services database of course.

Well, if the app with bundle ID is found, you should get back the folderitem for it.
